Art has always been my escape. Back in high school, I was the student doodling in notebooks instead of solving equations (my biology notebooks were especially pretty, just ask my mom). I followed my passion to Otterbein University, where I earned my BA in Art and discovered just how much creative expression meant to me.
My professional journey started in graphic design, and I've spent years building a career in digital marketing. But here's the thing about creativity – it finds a way! Working remotely has been a game-changer, letting me balance my marketing career while exploring my artistic side in those precious pockets of free time.
Want to hear something funny? My embroidery journey started when I had the least amount of time and energy — i.e. working full time while pregnant with a toddler — but wondering how I could transform my son’s gender-neutral wardrobe into something sweet and girly for my daughter. One stitch led to another, and suddenly I was hooked! There's something so calming about sitting down with needle and thread after the littles are in bed, transforming simple fabric into something special. It became my "me time" – that peaceful moment in the whirlwind of busy days.
And the best part today? Teaching! In between marketing campaigns and family time, I've had the privilege of teaching over 1,000 students on Skillshare. I truly believe we all have creativity inside us – sometimes we just need someone to show us where to start!

It's about finding those small moments in our busy lives to express ourselves, finding peace in the process, and connecting with others who understand the joy of making something with our own hands.
